We booked a month-long rental with them through VRBO, and their reservations team was pretty slow to respond to questions (even after reminders) before we arrived, so we were a little nervous. The mixed reviews here didn't help. We shouldn't have been nervous. Once we got to the house in Mérida, we had a fantastic experience. The house was absolutely beautiful and very well maintained, and all the staff we interacted with were great, and very responsive.

We stayed at Casa La Hacienda, in Merida. This is an amazing place! As some people mentioned pics don't do justice. The house is beautiful and well decorated. It is also well stocked and comfortable. We stayed for 3 nights and were sad to leave. The location is very convenient to walk to the plazas and mercados. Parking is never a problem at the corner if you come after 10pm when the corner bar La Negrita has closed and the patrons have left. We really enjoyed the patio with the dipping tub during the midday heat and at nights. Beautiful landscape design, palm trees and blooming bushes, with tender scent. They earned a solid 4 although I'd give it a 4.5 star rating if it was possible - we experienced a couple of hiccups on the first night. We arrived around 9pm, and went to explore the city and grab some dinner so really got back to the house only after 11pm. That's when we discovered that there was no gas since the stove wouldn't work and the boiler wasn't heating water. Took us some time to figure out why. Also we couldn't login to wifi. Had to email Mariana and got response from her when their working hours started next morning. Oddly enough we found a piece of paper from a gas company by the entry door early next morning - so it looked like the house was serviced during the night. The concierge came around 11am next morning and fixed both problems while we were away for breakfast. The rest of the stay was terrific. We couldn't quite figure out the layout of the house and yard based on the pics. There is a small inner yard with a decorative pool with lotuses AND back yard with patio and the dipping pool. Both bedrooms and entry hall face the small yard. Dining room separates and opens the doors into both yards. We might be wrong but we deduced that the owner of the house is an architect, which explains the beauty of the house and the attention to all the details.
I stayed at a Remixto property in Merida this October. The house was one of the poorest outfitted properties I’ve stayed at - a leak in the ceiling, a cracked coffee maker and kitchen supplies that seemed like they were purchased at a garage sale. On the first day, the concierge rep said that she would come at 10am and never showed. She came several days later with no notice. While at the home, there was a hurricane that came through town and caused damage to the house. I made our concierge rep aware of the damage that was being caused while it was happening, sent her photos and asked for suggestions. After leaving the property, I got a notification saying that Remixto used our security deposit to pay for damaged caused by the hurricane. I’d highly suggest thinking twice before renting one of their properties or delivering a security deposit to them! All in all, terrible experience with Remixto. There are so many other properties in Merida and Mexico City - go with another one.
Fantastic colonial remodelled. Peaceful and private. Leave yourself extra time because Remixto is not very prompt. They have to read meters before and after, but were very tardy. Good thing we did not have flights to catch! Upside was we ran into the owner, a lovely lady that was eager to share her local knowledge of Merida. All in all, a great experience
We loved the house. The super private pool area is both beautiful and relaxing. The kitchen is much better than 95% of home kitchens we've had in rental houses. The bed is great. The only downside ... and this was a freak of nature ... the wind blew the electric connectors loose so for 2.5 days (over the weekend until the electric co could get there) we had on again/off again power surges. Other than that, the house was perfect. Also a shout out to Remixto and especially Gisselle (concierge) who were super helpful all thru out stay.
