A must-visit museum in Guanajuato. The set up is a little weird but the exhibit is very interesting and specially amazing if you're into archeology of mummies. Each mummy has a short story and explanation as well. The price to go in is very low and you're allowed to take photos with no flash in order not to damage the mummies. A small detail though, since this is one of the biggest attractions downtown make sure that you get here early during the day, as the line to get in can be pretty long and slow.

I followed the rules of the museum and I did not take pictures while I was inside, but you know what, I want YOU to experience the mummies, come visit them. The museum cost is less then 50 pesos and it can be seen with in 30 minutes. They are beautiful to look at or scary to look at, it all depends on how you view them. I wish there was description of the mummies but you get nothing. There is a second museum but.. it's not worth it, it's supposed to scare you or show you methods of hurting people but there was not enough to pay for the extra. I would recommend you walking here, it's a good exercise and you get to see a better view of the city and where the locals live. People say to take an Uber because it looks rough, but that was not my experience. I talk and ask questions to some of the locals and they were all friendly and helpful. I guess it all depends on how you view people. Also, there is a guitar shop where you can. See The Famous guitar from Coco. The movie was took place around the city and the cousin of the guy who makes the guitar lives there. He is a great person to talk to and you can see the other guitars that he is making.
