A small but interesting museum about the Mayan history. The second-floor exhibition was dedicated to the history of the aerial photography in the Yucatan Peninsula. All in all, A well-spent hour in Merida.

Nice architecture. Small collection.Much smaller than expected. Second floor exhibition during the visit was really poor. However you can see some findings from Calakmul, Becan.

we wanted to visit the big museum in Merida, but it was closed, so we visited this one which had an exhibition about mayan writing and number system. would have loved to have seen more artifacts.

Beautiful mansion turned museum! The Maya exhibit was excellent, there were so many unique artifacts from all over Mexico. The architecture alone is magnificent, truly a must see if you are in the area. My family and I were only able to see the first floor, so we are looking forward to going back and seeing the rest of the museum soon!
