Beautiful location; site where Emperor Maximilian of House Habsburg, along his top generals, were executed, marking the end of the Second Mexican Empire and of the French Intervention in Mexico. On top of the hill exists a monument to Benito Juarez, who led the country after expelling the French

Maximiliano wash shot here. It is very historic. Well done. The stone bell on the right inside the gate is a fun surprise. The 5 pesos park maintenance fee is very acceptable considering the result is a very well kept park. Don't miss the wax museum, if you are into such things.

Also known as the Hill of Bells where things didn't go very well for Maximilian. This large city park makes for a good walk and you will see many local residents running there. On weekends students run wind sprints up the hill. There is a small general admission price to get into the park.

Nice historical park to go for a walk. The gardens are pretty and the paths are well-kept. There is a very pleasant bird diversity present. Midway on the hill, a chapel had been constructed on the location of the execution site of the last emperor of Mexico. On top of the hill, you can admire a giant Benito Juarez statue, on a plaza surrounded by vegetation.

This place was beyond amazing. Not as much history as I expected but it was the most beautiful botanical garden! We walked through trees and butterflies everywhere! I sat down to write about life and it inspired me so much. We left this amazing amazing park feeling almost peaceful and renewed. Highly recommend. Parking was super easy on the street infront of the entrance. Very safe area as well!
