Unfortunately there was no surf for the five days I was in Punta Mita, but I got a board and local info from Mictlan Surf Shop across from Gran Palladium. If there was swell and the surf was on, Punta Burros looked like it would have been a fun little spot. We did get some ankle slappers, but that was about it. Oscar and Julieta at Mictlan were awesome - totally cool and very helpful! The place has a rad vibe and all the boards and gear you could want for any type of surf. I highly recommend them when you're in Punta Mita!

I would not recommend this vendor for boat rentals. We booked a two hour private boat excursion. They did not provide towels on the boat. The guides were unhelpful. And they claimed we were going out on a “calm“ day, even though the swells were well over 15 feet, leaving most of us seasick. The price was listed at 300, which seemed extreme. They then added taxes, which resulted in a final price of around 350 because we had to pay with credit card.

Juan was AWESOME! He helped us learn how to surf and took us out to see the whales. He he very encouraging and very knowledgeable. Great English and very accommodating. The entire Mictlan staff was helpful and fun! We will definitely use their services again.
