Simply put... Do this NOW. With no cruise ships there is no better time to do this tour. The groups are smaller and more personal and for airline travelers we heard this a lot throughout all of Cozumel. It was no different at Dolphin Discovery... honestly, it made for an even better experience. We had Daniel and he was the BEST trainer for my daughter and great personality. We got Jupiter and Krista for our dolphins and my daughter loved them. Jupiter is the big boy of the dolphins but playful and friendly. Passionate and encouraging Daniel was the reason my daughter left with one of those “permanent smiles” The cost was easily worth the priceless memories. We got the Royal Swim with the picture package and it was completely worth it. We got Daniel as our personal trainer and we had our own photographer. Whatever “time” we purchased didn’t matter as the whole experience was relaxing and not rushed. So do this now while it is VIP, VIP with no cruise ships. Well over 200 pictures were taken so... Tip: make sure you have a lot of space on your phone as you download them right away! We also did the manatee encounter and that was hilarious and memorable. We loved the included buffet right next the enclosure and the place was beautiful and relaxing with plenty of places for Instagramable pics. Make sure to explore!

A delightful one of a kind interaction with dolphins and manatees. Wow! Awesome for all ages. Do look for discounts ahead of time as many only apply if you book in advance. Yes, they charge a lot for pictures...but you can negotiate pricing and we loved the pictures!

Really wonderful place to visit. Quite a few things to do. Entrance is a little pricey; includes a tour and sea lion show. You'd think for the price they could include or allow you to take your own photos, or at least charge a reasonable price. 20 for two photos is a little over the top. The idea and the show however was definitely nice. Not sure how I feel about animals in captivity, though. I think it would be better if they could take us to them or bring them to us without having to confine them. The swim with the dolphins is 40 with a photo included. That may be a little more reasonable for that experience. A lot of other activities one could do such as snorkeling or an under sea adventure. All in all a pleasant, memorable experience to say the least.

Today I swam with 2 beautiful dolphins in the actual Gulf of Mexico! It was a dream come true. I wish I could remember the names of the dolphins that Daniel, the trainer, introduced me to! If you are thinking about doing this - DO IT! No regrets, amazing!!

Well if you are vacation make sure that you save for a second one, just to pay for this, least for us as a family of 4. Giving a 4 star because the experience was great. If you want pictures you can drop 250 easily and they will not let you take any pictures of the Dolphins at ALL. The staff and trainers were top knotch. My kids adored it, even though it was a great experience for my wife and I, it was incredible for the kids. Getting pushed around the water by the dolphin was a hoot. Most of the activities were fun. There have a place with a seal show that you can get a kiss. The food was sub-par. The all inclusive is actually very limited, so make sure you as about it, it does not include most things. Afterwards we went over to the beach and rented some snorkel gear. Here is the BEST TIP for you, take a bunch of the hot dogs from the buffet. When you are snorkeling you can crumble them up and the fish will surround you. I am diver, I did this for my kids and they had a blast. One time experience for us, unless I hit the lottery or something. If you save for it and have never done it, its probably worth it.
