This is the best museum in Mexico City. It is a must visit. It may also be ranked high on world. Museum has great architecture and it is pretty large. It include several archeological findings from Mexico. Unfortunately museum needs some improvements. Informational texts are mostly in Spanish. English support is pretty limited. It is hard to know if an item is real or reproduction. I asked Spanish speakers and they told me it is not mentioned anywhere if drawing is real or reproduction. Also most items don’t have date, some items have pretty large date range. Museum needs some good historians and scientists to identify extact date of items.

This place is open BTW, Google really needs to update their listing. Anyway, this museum is massive, you could easily spend the entire day there. I went for five hours and only saw like two thirds of it. It covers the entire human history of Mexico from a Neolithic era up to the modern times. If you only go to one museum in Mexico City make sure it's here.

I’ve been to this museum twice and it’s incredible. A must see in Mexico City. You’ll need three hours (at least) to explore. There is a nice restaurant there to take a food break and recharge.

One of my favorite museums in Mexico City! I always find myself visiting whenever I'm in town. It has quite an expansive collection and you'll probably need a few hours to get through them all, as there are exhibits both indoor and out. Well worth the visit! Note: Visited prior to COVID, so things may be different.
