I'm not a first time surfer, and neither is my 15 yo daughter - we are from LA. We are beginners though and need help with better timing of waves and learning better techniques. I was so happy with Martin as an instructor, as he's patient but efficient with this instruction. He is intuitive and understands what is needed right in the moment. Also, as important, he knows exactly where to go based on conditions, crowds etc. I ended up booking twice as we enjoyed our time so much. Also, Maria who is the photographer, is so lovely. I'm very happy with the pictures that we got, which is not typical for a surf lesson. I've surfed in the past with other instructors and this is by far the best experience I've had. Definitely recommend 100%. One tip - the morning I decided to get up early to be picked up at 6 am was the best session so I recommend going as early as possible.

Staff were so friendly and knowledgable. I surf a couple times a month in my hometown but decided to do a lesson because I'm still a beginner. Martin was very encouraging and helped me catch a lot of waves! Maria took some really nice photos. This trip was easily one of the main highlights of our vacation. It was nice to get away from the normal touristy stuff and go out on an adventure with some cool people. I would highly recommend Cabo Surf Tours to anyone who is planning a Cabo vacation.
This was my first paid surf trip and wow it was AMAZING! I am an experienced surfer but my girlfriend is just a beginner, we both had a great time and agreed it was the highlight of our trip. Let me paint you a picture: You get picked up from your hotel in a capable 4x4 vehicle from a friendly man named Martin, you go to a local surf shop where you get treated like family, then you drive on a dirt road to an empty wave outside the hustle and bustle of Cabo with both larger outside waves and smaller insiders, Martin backs the truck up to the shore and sets up umbrellas and beach chairs for your crew and has a cooler stocked with drinks and food, the wave is fun and the water is warm, you are surrounded by sea life such as small fish and sea turtles, you are by yourself on the outside catching any wave you want while my girlfriend gets a lesson on the inside. An absolutely unforgettable experience I will surely do again.
We reached out to Martin and Maria the day before our surf trip. Not only did they respond right away, they setup the best day we had on our vacation. Everything was thought through, they moved at our speed, fed us when we were hungry, took phenomenal photos and overall made it a great day for our family. I can't recommend this tour enough when you're down in Cabo!
I booked a half day surf tour with Martin and Maria, as I had no prior experience surfing the East Cape. Martin quickly assessed all conditions (wind, swell direction, size, etc.) and found us the most optimal spot to surf. He was very informative on every aspect of the experience and was also very professional and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend Martin and his team. They were fantastic!
My husband said one word sums it up EPIC !! On time, excellent service, board pick up, beach camp was set up, they brought all the food and took pictures. Call them and your surfing day is all planned and taken care of just get picked up and the rest they do AMAZING !! We will be calling you in December for a shark diving adventure !! 100% worth the money to be able to have the details covered and relax and enjoy!!!
If you are traveling to Cabo and looking to surf, you cannot go wrong with Cabo Surf Tours. Martin and Maria are such great people, and they know exactly where to go on any given day to get you on some of the best waves you’ll ever surf. I went on a solo session, and in the morning, Martin and I pulled up to a few spots to check out the conditions. He told me the ins and outs of every break we looked at, until we decided on “La Fortuna” where I probably had the best day of my life. They were taking pictures the entire time, and I could not thank them enough for the knowledge, accommodations, and hospitality. Whether you are a seasoned surfer or are looking to take lessons in paradise, Cabo Surf Tours is definitely the way to go.
