Had a wonderful time with the instructors from Mario Surf School. Rapha and Diego were wonderful and patient instructors that helped us learn enough to get on the board and catch a few waves even in the first days. We would have stuck around and done the full 5-day clinic if we had had the time. They filled our lessons with a lightheartedness and sense of humor to all our lessons which made it easy to keep getting back on the board. I highly recommend stopping by and taking some lessons from either of them. It will be the highlight of your trip to Baja.

Took our kids there for surfing lessons and they had a blast. Got up on the board quickly and the instructors did a nice job of working with them. They are not quite ready for the pro tour but they very much enjoyed the two hour lesson. Booked on line which worked well
I had an amazing first time surfing experience. Rafael & Diego were helpful and fun instructors during my 3 day clinic. I got to learn what it would take to be a surfer in a long run. Highly recommend this spot for your first attempt to surf.
Great guys ..
An hour drive from San Jose del Cabo. The driver picked us up and drove us home. We spent the day on a remote beach without any frills. Martin worked extremely hard that day pushing us out through the breaking waves. We had great instructions and we learned to surf. We were able to catch as many waves as we wanted. Yummy lunch with cold drinks. All day surf and we really felt like we got a lot for our money. Bring a towel.
Odin is super friendly and really helpful! We had surfed once before and he was patient with all our bad habits and helped us figure out how to work past them. We were doing great by the end of the day The drivers they arranged were also really friendly and punctual. Overall booking through Mario’s surf school was a great experience!!
Well I don’t really know where to start other than to say that I had been surfing for more than 10 years from a landlocked state whenever I could. I was not having any fun because I could not get up consistently or at all on my board. The professionals at Mario’s got rid of my “bad golf swing” and put me on the road to recovery. Surfing is now fun, and I’m starting to experience the sport for the first time. Thank you Luis and all of the rest of the professionals at Mario’s. If you wanna surf and learn to have fun go to Mario’s.
These guys are awesome. Took my son and his friend for surf lessons and they were one on one with them. The instructors were very informative and made sure they were safe the whole time. The guys felt totally compfortable during the lession and the fee we paid was well worth it. We rented a Van from their transportaion link (Todos Santos Transportation) and the cost of the van and the lessons worked out to be less than the hotel packages and we got to go where we wanted to go. Went to Todos Santos (Hotel California) after the surf lesson and had a wonderful day. 3 of us (one non surfer), paid a total of 320.00 tips, if memory is correct, for the day and went at our own pace with our own private, very compfortable, vehicle. The driver had a cooler with ice and we stopped at the OXXO for snacks and beverages. All were very professional and we would highly recommend this as a way to tour. We went Dec. 2019.
