Grass Roots effort to preserve culture and knowledge. Could be something more in the future. In 2018 it still has a ways to go as far as an informative museum.

Oldschool museum on traditional herbs and medicine. The drying room out back is the coolest part. Grab a tincture or a tea blend on your way out!

This is strange but kind of cool. A creepy exhibit of indigenous life (creepy because it is very dimly lit) and an outdoor "garden" which is not very kept up. The best part is a video where you learn about the birthing process via an indigenous midwife. This place is very strange. worth a visit if you've seen everything else.

The place is very unique and informative, especially for those interested in ancient healing practices. Please not that there are posts online that the museum was closed permanently but they are open again for the public. You can also support by buying herbal remedies made there.

An important organization to support and it has interesting information in many languages. If you're looking for a fancy museum experience, this isn't it. But it is beautiful and informative and important.

Amazing community-led effort to spread understanding of traditional practices here. Learned so much and really enjoyed the video and the displays! Don’t miss this — it is absolutely worth the donation of 25 pesos, aka barely more than one US dollar. Consider buying some herbal remedies for things like headaches, fever, & menstrual cramps, or a pamphlet to further support their efforts.

Very unique and interesting experience. A quick view of the indigents life. Amazingly how easy you can see the similarity to the western culture.

It's a strange place in my opinion. I think that much more info could be provided about the healing plants and maybe provide English captions in the rooms rather than a rather tired book. Unfortunately didn't work for me, though I appreciate their support of indigenous communities and their customs.
