Just and impressive area to be in. There are alot of people all the time. The vendors setup really early and are there into the night. There are lots of alley ways with plenty of things to buy. There are tons of vendors selling jewelry. Hotels, restaurants, bars, illicit activity, holy activity, it's all there. It's a majestic chaos. You have to stay focused but still enough relaxed to enough the moments. Pope John Paul visited in 1990 and it brings tons of people looking for a miracle or giving thanks for one.
