This was an amazing experience and a really fun activity to do while vacationing in Tulum! It's really cool to be able to take home all of the information that we learned and use it as a reminder of our trip. My wife and I enjoyed the company of everyone in the class and Erik and Nelson, who taught us many Mexican cooking techniques and styles. The food Eric prepared was delicious - some of the best food we ate in Tulum! The margarita that Eric made was sooo good! Can't recommend this place enough.

The best Mexican cooking class in the beach area of Tulum!! I learn how to do my own tortillas and the salsas for the great tacos we ate at the end. We prepare 3 diferent kinds of Ceviche. Erick, the chef also provide vegan option recipes. My favorite part of the class was the tequila tasting and the margaritas toast. Having a class with Erick is not only learning about how to cook yomi mexican food he gave us also great tips and talk about history. A great experience if you want to improve your cooking skills while you have fun!

After a few days in the Yucatan, we knew that the food was delicious and that we wanted to be able to replicate some of the dishes at home. Chef Eric entertained us with great stories, superb technique and skills, and delicious and unusual dishes. This class was a deep dive into regional history through food and I would recommend it for the visitor who likes to go behind the scenes to see how things are done as well as the traveller who likes to eat and be entertained! We took the class to learn to prepare ceviche, tortillas, tacos, and salsas and got a firm foundation in the basics. Eric showed us the core principles of each dish and how to create amazing variations. We discovered new ingredients such as naranja agrio (a tart orange we used to make salsas) and chilmole (a black seasoning paste we used in octopus ceviche). We also learned how to use familiar ingredients like dried peppers in new dishes like salsa guajillo and made the BEST tasting tortillas we have ever had! In addition, we learned about South American dishes and how these flavors are connected. Chef Eric has an encyclopedic knowledge of Latin American cooking and passionate energy for his work. There was never a dull moment and we were not at all tempted to sneak out to the Tulum beaches across the street. We cooked 15 dishes and tasted great tequila and found that the food, drink and great company made the day fly by! We would book another lesson if we come back to the Yucatan and wish he would open a restaurant in our hometown!
