The most serene place I have been to! Their massages leave you feeling like a new person! They provide you with a dry fruit tea that smells and tastes delicious! There is rooms to stay for a romantic getaway as well!!!

I stayed here for 3 nights in Nov. 2018. In that time I saw several rooms, met the on-site owners and partook of spa services, including the temazcal and massages. Short version - I was impressed. Very accommodating management, luxury amenities without being over the top. I'd go again and again. Long version - I've been to a lot of spas in Mexico and used to operate a travel agency specializing in them. This one is different. While a lot of spas are pretentious and have lots of classes and a schedule, Yolihuani is more free-form. You have the freedom to be yourself here. The temazcals particularly impress me. Almost always, a temazcal is a group event, often with chanting. Some have included being beaten with branches. All that's fine when you are young but as I have aged, my tolerance for heat has decreased. Getting out of a semi-religious sweat lodge early is sure to make you unpopular. Here is different. David, the co-owner explained to me that each dome had its own pit for the volcanic rocks to make the steam and you were in complete control. THAT made it enjoyable. I could go on and on (okay, maybe I already have), but the bottom line is that this is one out-of-the-way retreat that is very much worth going to. The nearby town of Calvillo is one of Mexico's "Pueblos Magicos" and has many attractions worth visiting.

Best you will find in the area and cheap but don't expect a professional massage.
