This place became one of our favorites in Puerto Vallarta - a lovely family run restaurant - must try their specialties - we tried both seafood and meat ones (my wife doesn't like Seafood). Tortilla soup and their Pico de Gallo were simply fantastic - their homemade soft tortillas were very tasty. Don't get fooled by the emptyness of the place as it is on the 3rd floor - just go up and try it

This was our first and last time here. Let's start with the positive. The view is amazing, great for sunset and people watching. The staff was very friendly. We were served by the owner Edwin, who at first seemed very nice, but we could see right through his upselling tactics. You see, there are 2 menus in this restaurant, the one they let you see and the "special menu" (read: expensive) the owner tells you is the only way to enjoy your dinner experience. We politely refused the "special menu" items and ordered chicken and fish fajitas from the regular menu and Edwin quickly turned from friendly to almost ignoring us. The fajitas arrived and this was the first time we've ever seen them served directly on a plate and not on a hot skillet. The taste was underwhelming, presentation was mediocre at best. I assume all the positive reviews are from people who ordered from the "special menu" - I bet their bill was special too.
Now factor!! Food is unbelievable and the service to boot! They let us play our own playlist. Super nice staff!! One of my favorite experiences.
Third floor location overlooking the Malecon and beach. Very friendly staff, ice cold beer, good chips and salsa. Didn't order a meal but plan to go back. BTW, if the tuba drink guy in all white is available on the Malecon, try it. Combination of coconut milk, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, diced apple, and walnut pieces, fermented and delicious. No I'll effects after four days.
The place is now called "UNA FAMILIA" however the quality remains! Really good food, great service and amazing view. We had a great time here! I definitely recommend it
Amazing! A must stop for anyone. We were treated like family. Food was great and can't beat the views!
There are 3 Una Familia restaurants in Puerto Vallarta. The food is traditional and so very fresh and delicious. The owners really try to give back to the community and they take good care of their staff. The staff work hard to please. The restaurant on the Malecon has majestic sunsets in its odd location above an Irish Bar.
