The incredible Toltec Warriors of Tula are located in Mexico. These colossal statues stand atop a pyramid and are 17 feet each in height. They are believed to have once been posts or pillars that held up an enormous roof. Some believe these warriors represent ancient astronauts or people from Atlantis. However, according to oral traditions in the area, the statues represented the warriors of Quetzalcoatl, who was the feathered or plumed serpent god/teacher that arrived in this area in the remote past.

Went to this site in Tula today after wanting to visit for years. Unfortunately, the entire site was CLOSED and security had no idea when it might reopen. We had driven 6 hours to get there and were VERY disappointed having made the trip specially to see this site. The internet and the Tula website showed the place as being open currently. The guard said it had been closed since MARCH 21st this year !!! How many others had the same experience as we did because they were too lazy to put correct information on the website and internet. ??? Brian

This ancient pyramid site is a nice place to visit. Quite small compared to others but still worth a visit. A lot of what you see is renovated and new. Some replica Monuments.

I like many details of this archeological zone. Like how the roof on one of the pyramids was held in place by the figures.
