The entire experience was flawless. From the first time I spoke with Martha, the patient coordinator to boarding the plane to come home was perfect. The drivers were all friendly, caring and knowledgeable of the area and border process. The hotel was beautiful and the staff were beyond amazing. I felt like royalty. The hospital (CER) was immaculate and the staff were kind and welcoming. Dr. Garcia was wonderful and the care I received was top notch. I can’t say enough about the process. If you’re considering having this life changing surgery...do it! My surgery date was January 29, 2021

Where do I begin... For starters, setting up the surgery has been a total nightmare. I had to email Dr. Garcia's office back and forth for weeks. The instructions his office gave me before the surgery for their liquid diet were absolutely horrible. Barely any instructions and the woman on the phone clearly didn't know what she was talking about; I made sure of that when she said I could drink Pepsis on the diet. Like real talk, what kind of diet allows Pepsis? You'd think Dr. Garcia could at least take a minute of his time to send proper instructions. The payment plan was also suspect. They wanted me to wire thousands of dollars over to some LLC over in Mexico before the surgery and then a few more afterward. Frankly, the idea that they're running this surgery center just over the border where Americans can get around regulations and health requirements is shady. They'll take whoever wants to get the surgery as long as they have the money, even with some health risks. Lastly, the horror stories I've heard about bariatric centers in Mexico have been astounding. There's a 4% chance of dying in the surgery and numerous complications you could have. I'm terrified to death that the stitches will break open on the flight back. Not to mention the stomach job is probably going to make me vomit, which may affect my teeth and my throat from the bile. Be careful with these Mexico surgery solutions because they're definitely third-rate compared to those in the U.S.
