We have gone fishing with Tailhunter International Sportfishing for 3 years now. We actually get the full fishing experience with Tailhunter. In the past we have gone fishing out of Cancun and the Captains/crew wouldn't let us hold the pole! They would hand it to us once a fish was on! Fishing with Tailhunter includes the real fishing experience with ever detail of the trip taken care of. Jonathan and Jill are the best. Jill even made reservations for us on our wedding anniversary at the best steak house in La Paz.

The place was ok, relatively fast service, clean and pretty empty. The food left a lot to wish for, small portions and cold. The nachos we very dry, the fish plate came with plain, unseasoned shredded cabbage and some lettuce leaves. The fish tacos were sad looking and served only as a piece of fish an a tortilla. The margarita was mostly ice. The best part of the meal were the fries, especially with their white sauce.

One of the best and most fun trips we’ve done. I’ve been down twice now to La Paz and fished with Jonathan and his crew. The first time was prior to Covid and the second after. The captains are first class and honest, we actually left our bag with cash and passports on a boat, it was nerve racking but we got everything back without a hitch. The second trip down I brought my two teenage sons and they had a blast. It was the trip of a lifetime that they will talk about forever. Don’t hesitate if your thinking about it and get down there.

Had a wonderful time in la paz on our first trip with Jonathan's team at tailhunter. From chasing marlin to pulling grouper out of the rocks they really went out of their way to get to know us and then tailored our trip to give you us great experience in the beautiful waters around la paz.

Wow! What a fantastic experience. Every! Single! Detail! was taken care of during the entire time; from the planning, to the schedules, to the picking us up at the airport, the hotel check-in, fishing guides, dinners, freezing and packaging of the fish! Everything - all we had to do was to purchase our own licenses, but, yes, that detail was taken care of also - we were given a link and it made it simple and quick! Jonathan and Jilly were terrific hosts - they have this fishing adventure figured out. We caught fish everyday. Had wonderful fishing guides that knew their craft. So. Much. Fun. If you've ever wanted to fish the Sea of Cortez, I recommend you book a trip today with Jonathan and Jilly. You won't be disappointed. We can't wait to go back again next year!
