Well placed hostel in Guanajuato in the center of a beautiful place with a fountain. Very affordable/clean and every room has a different theme representing a picture of the traditional lottery. We got the umbrella room! The patio is lovely for a little break with plants and colorful walls. Peaceful and good place to stay. ️

Great location! If you can get one of the rooms upstairs, they are very spacious. Amazing rooftop with stunning views.
Great place to stay at San Miguel, comfortable and affordable if you want just to hang out in this town to have a break from the city.
Great location... parking is off site... rooms are, let's just say "historic" ... clean yet not too modern... customer service excellent!
Hotel is centrally located, 5 mins walk gets you to main square so was extremely convenient. The room had a double bed but i imagine it would be a bit cramped for 2. I had the room to myself so there was ample space. Basic toiletries provided. My friend had a room facing the streets and complained that there was constant noise at night (cars, nightclub go-ers). Nice communal area on ground floor to sit around. Rooftop needs some tidying up and potentially could provide another gathering spot with nice view in the evening (or maybe this was never their intention? Currently quite a mess).
It was OK, just ok. The room was new, so new that there were cement on the floor. The crew were gentle and nice. I think the cost-benefits is very low.
DIRTY, RUDE AND COMPLETELY UNRESPONSIVE This used to be my favorite place in San Miguel to stay. I would rent the room with the terrace up top and i couldn't ever imagine staying elsewhere. I even proposed to my Fiance on that terrace on our last trip there. This stay was different. The front desk was run by two younger people and they were unfriendly at best. I found two dead roaches in the middle of the flood the first day but that wasn't a big deal. The day of the proposal we returned to find one of the rooms below was being fumigated for bugs. Oh well these things happen. Except it seems that caused them to go up and hide out in our room. We returned late and found roach poop all over the bed, earwigs all over the bedroom and crickets everywhere. We had already booked a future stay at that point and decided we didn't want to stay there again. The front desk told me to get in contact with the manager. I emailed him in english and in spanish explaining the situation politely and simply requested we recieve a refund for the future reservation (1 day). It has been a few weeks now. My account has been charged and i never received any type of reply. Mostly i'm upset because we both loved this spot and would make regular trips to return and now we probably will never return to the place where we were engaged.
