We had an amazing time with Hector and team. They were great at catering to different levels of scuba diving experience in our group. I would highly recommend them to all beginners who might be nervous about trying scuba diving as they are extremely patient and make you feel very safe. I had been scuba diving once before and I still had a great time. The location where you dive is full of beautiful fish so there is plenty to see!

A Great Day and A Great Shore Dive! I got PADI certified this year, but my wife had never been diving so we booked a rec dive with Try Scuba Diving. Later that week, we met up with Hector, Luis, and Feli at Chileno Bay Beach. After an overview of the dive including equipment, hand signals, and safety procedures, we kitted up with their gear and made our way into the water at the southwest end of the beach. The surf was pretty calm, so getting in the water was very easy. Everything about the dive was well-organized and the equipment was in excellent condition. After getting acquainted with the gear in the water for about 15 minutes, it was time to go under. Luis was the divemaster and was awesome at keeping us together, checking our progress, and finding cool things. Hector was my wife's wingman and also shot a bunch of fun GoPro HD video of our dive (they got it to us via WhatsApp). Feli kept watch from the surface, following along with a safety ring and line. We went down to about 22 feet and followed the rocks at that end of Chileno Bay Beach. Visibility was about 50 feet and the water temperature shifted from the high 70's to low 80's as we moved about. We encountered about 40 different species of fish, including a snowflake moray eel, a puffed-up porcupine fish, and a large school of yellowtail surgeonfish. After about 90 minutes, it was time to come in. Not sure when we will get back to Cabo, but I would definitely dive with them again! A shore dive is a great way to try scuba, because if it turns out that scuba is NOT for you, you're not stuck on a rocking dive boat a mile or more from shore while everyone else is in the water.

I booked this so my wife, son, and future daughter-in-law and I could try scuba diving. Our instructors were top notch and their equipment was great. This is a top operation. Our patient instructors did a great job making everyone feel comfortable. It was a great day in the water and Chilleno bay is beautiful.

Spent the morning at Chileno Bay with Hector, Ella, and Oscar. I was fearful at first but the team was so encouraging and more than happy to go at my pace. It was my birthday and they made the experience extra special. Would definitely recommend the morning session for snorkeling!

TL;DR: Hector, Pablo, and Feli are wonderful, and Try Scuba Diving was the highlight of our trip. With no prior experience, we felt safe and had an amazing time. Full review: My husband and I used Try Scuba Diving while we were in Los Cabos for our honeymoon. Neither of us had done any diving before. It was an absolutely INCREDIBLE experience. Pablo, Hector, and Feli provided everything we needed (including wetsuits!) for our scuba adventure. To provide the best level of service, they only do private tours, so it was just my husband and I with the three of them. Pablo was our main instructor for the day. We sat on the beach and he explained the three primary rules to us (simplified here for brevity): 1) always breathe, 2) never don’t breathe (don’t hold your breath!), and 3) equalize your ears often. Within 25 min, we were suited up and getting into the water. Pablo dove with us, Hector snorkeled with us to monitor and take video, and Feli stayed at the surface with the safety raft. Pablo constantly checked in on us to make sure we were doing okay, to remind us how to clear our masks underwater, and to encourage us to stay relaxed. Even with lower visibility that day, Pablo made sure we got to see starfish and lots of other colorful aquatic creatures! I had been concerned about going scuba diving without being certified first, but their three simple rules, plus Pablo’s constant guidance under water, made us feel completely comfortable so we could just enjoy the experience. I’ve wanted to learn to scuba dive for more than 5 years, but the cost for certification has always dissuaded me. This allowed us to try scuba diving in a really cost-effective way – we had an incredible time, and will definitely be getting certified this year! We can’t wait to return and scuba with Hector, Pablo, and Feli again, and are already figuring out how to make it happen within the year.

Pablo and Hector are absolutely amazing!!!! We had an awesome experience with them!! We were absolute beginners, with zero experience. But, Pablo and Hector gave perfectly clear instructions and guided us very well. They made us practice and try many times before diving in. They were so helpful, cordial and friendly. They tried their best to give the best possible experience. We couldn't have successfully done this without their help. They are the reason, we didn't feel scared at all. Brilliant guys!
