We dove with Pro Dive International out of their shop located at the Occidental Resort. The experience was very professional from the start. Juan, the manager of the dive shop runs a tight ship and the service is top notch from every aspect. He really went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable experience. He was always positive and helpful in every way he could, and it really made a huge difference in our experience compared to other dive shops we’ve used in the past. Our dive masters Sandra and Ruben were also awesome! So friendly and knowledgeable, really thorough in their briefings and ensured everyone was safe and having a good time. I also really appreciated how seriously they take the conservation of their reefs. These guys are real professionals through and through and I highly recommend this dive shop.

This is our 2nd time diving with Pro Dive at the Occidental and we love it here!! We are so happy to find dive masters who are passionate about the environment and aquatic life. They’re informative, caring, and a blast to hang out with outside of the Maire! Thank you Hans and Karina for another great trip to Cozumel! We booked our 2 dives, the dives got canceled to bad weather and we needed to travel to next destination, team refused to give us refund, only voucher we can't use. Don't pay in advance and be aware no refund possible even if you explain the situation. We stayed in occedental hotel which was very good but the dive shop was the low point of our trip. Don't recomend this company at all. Not customer friendly

My wife and I booked a package of diving and equipment rental with Prodive in Cozumel. We are both experienced divers (I have been diving for over 10 years all over the world). In summary, they are reckless, negligent and dangerous and my wife and I both suffered ear injuries due to faulty equipment, reckless disregard for our safety and dangerous dive practices. After inuring us and a doctor advising that we not dive until seeing a specialist, we asked for a refund of the remaining dives we had booked and they refused, only offering a ‘voucher’ – why would we go back to be further injured and placed in danger?? Now refuse to respond to my emails and failed to address the issues I raised. Avoid this place and go to one of the other dive shops. Also reporting the full extent of the issues to PADI, this place is one star not 5 star!

Amazing dive shop! We dove with Hans Karina and Sergio and had a great experience every time. The dive masters were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and cared about the quality of the dive. We saw so much marine life (eagle rays, sharks, barracudas) and really enjoyed the experience!

I just had the worst experience at Pro-dive. I have Scuba 30 times in several countries and have never experienced such lack of professionalism, which can translate to potential danger when you are doing Scuba. Please see below some of the issues: - They did not have a BCD that suited me (they just had XXS or L available). They insisted that the XXS fitted me (clearly it did not). I insisted that it was not right so we needed to pick up one that fitted from their other location. - I realized that the regulator was liking air during my first the dive. The dive master tried to replace it but he said that someone already used the replacement that they had onboard. I insisted and he found the “replacement” (probably a regulator that a person didn’t want) - I talked with the manager (Marion) to complain about the whole situation (the scuba master confirmed what I said) and she showed attitude of “those things happen”. I did not receive any compensation or apologies because apparently they believe everything is ok even if you have a bad experience. - As result of how perplexed I was, several employees suggested to write a review. It seems that they are tired of the lack of organization of this dive shop and the managers just pay attention when people complain online. Scuba diving is a beautiful sport but it can also be a dangerous one if dive shops don’t perform with the adequate level of professionalism. I think what concern and worry me the most it’s the attitude of “those things happen” that the manager showed instead of being apologetic and commit to improve. I definitely wouldn’t recommend them.

Stayed at Grand Occidental end of October and completed 11 dives with Ivana, Joel, Sergio, Sandra, Correy who were all extremely friendly and welcoming. Mylene, Xochil and Ximena (Melia) were incredibly nice and very helpful with any questions about diving and can not recommend them enough. Can not say enough how great of a trip they made it so much so me and my friend cancelled a July trip to Cozumel and rebooked with Prodive for 8 nights. Several others also rebooked with prodive and Grand Occidental after our recommendation. The harbor is about 20 feet away from the shop and you get ready and walk onto the boat with ease. The boat staff was great daily and they have fresh fruit in between dives. Recommend for new to experienced divers, wont be disappointed. Finally, couldn't wait till July so we will be back in January for the bullshark dives with Prodive.
