This Dog and Cat refuge is simply incredible. Manned by all volunteers and with very little money, this place is kept very clean. The dogs are happy! In the U.S. Most animal shelters are dirty and smell bad! The poor dogs are usually locked in individual cages like they are in solitude. Here the dogs are paired up similar dogs in large cages where they are free to play (unsocialized dogs are kept separate). I have been here many times and the cages are always clean and do not smell! Their is always fresh water and the dogs look very healthy. This place never turns away or puts down dogs (unless they are suffering) I have seen dogs with paralyzed back legs running around on a sled, so happy! Well over a 100 dogs are here every day. I am letting my friends know about this place and every time I visit my beach house in San Quintin, I stop here with donations I have collected for the dogs. Food, treats, blankets and beds, leashes etc. Dogs here can be adopted and brought back to the U.S.. Good Boys will provide you with a "fixed" dog in good health and with shot records and paperwork to bring them safely across the boarder. They do this for a donation. I love this place and admire the people who work so hard here and their reward is the sound of happy dogs playing. If you are heading towards the Old Mill, bring some food, or money works, and stop in and say high.

I love this place. Roman and his team work tirelessly with limited resources to give the dogs a good life. Everybody who can contribute anything to Good Boy can make a big difference for the dogs. We just got done bringing a ton of dog food and helping them make new signs for the front gates. It was an awesome weekend.
I love this place cuz they always do there best to help dogs and cats, they get temporary refuge until they find a home.
Oh my, I am surprised this is a place to be rated but it certainly deserves it! I have a small Cassita on the beach near this place and I come down from the U.S. several times a year to get away. My friends at Celito Lindo had said they got a dog from here and told me to check this place out. So I went there and I couldn't believe my eyes. There's over a hundred dogs here and you see dogs of all kinds. Dogs that are sick. Dogs that have no back legs dogs that no one would want. They are all so happy here. The dogs without back legs have little sleds to ride around on. The sick dogs are being taken care of and brought back to health. With all these dogs you think it would smell. It doesn't there is absolutely no dog smell at all. No flies, incredibly clean. I've never seen a place like this for dogs who are abandoned. They will also give the shots and all the records so you can export these dogs to the United States. I have cried there. I can't believe how beautiful place it is. Every time I go down there I bring them a 30 lb bag of dog food. they receive no funding other than donations. I just can't believe the place. Roman Has done a miracle.
