My wife had experienced acute back pain for 5 years after a (successful) surgery to repair a herniated disc. Dr. Robles diagnosed the need for a spinal fusion after carefully assessing the pain and exploring all other options. The spinal fusion was a success and her back is fully stabilized and functional again. Throughout our time with Dr. Robles he was patient, thorough and caring. We were truly "in good hands" at all times.

My husband needed emergency surgery for a head injury while we were visiting Puerto Vallarta Mexico. The whole experience was very scary. We were directed to Med Assist Hospital after visiting a clinic there. We were assigned what they described as the best neurosurgeon in all of Mexico. We were very fortunate to have Dr Robles there to do the surgery. He took very good care of us and put our minds to rest. He spoke very good English which is very hard to find in foreign countries. He was very informative and followed up with his treatment. He saved my husbands life and he has fully recovered with no side affects thanks to Dr Robles expert skills. Everyone at the hospital was very professional and caring. We highly recommend Dr Robles! We can never thank him enough for all he did for us!!

I believe that my initial meeting with Dr Robles was God sent. I had had low back pain for over 30 years and it had gotten much worse as I had planned to go to Puerto Vallarta. A decision was made to go ahead and go to join my husband for the winter months. Once in PV the pain got worse and to the point of being flat in bed for 3 weeks. When I had to use the bathroom my husband had to get me out of bed. The pain was so terrible that I screamed and hollered all the way in and out of the bathroom. The only relief came with lying flat in bed. There came a day when my husband couldn’t get me up and I fell several times and he decided to call for an ambulance. He didn’t know how to do that but he called our property manager and he got the ambulance to me. Once I got to the hospital they gave me medicine for the pain and the doctor came in and got my history. He wanted an MRI with contrast and some other tests. We talked about how he planned to surgically repair my spine. I asked him what the risk was for becoming paralyzed. His reply was that I had a greater risk of becoming paralyzed if I didn’t do anything. I felt that I could trust him and I surrendered to his plan for me. After the surgery I no longer had any pain and after nearly a year I have had 100%pain free living. My husband and I were convinced that God had made this chance encounter happen. I believe that Dr Robles is a genius and beyond proficient. He saved me!

Dr Robles is an excellent Nuerosurgeon I had my back operated on by him in June of 2015. I went to him and he told me what was wrong, I wanted a second opinion, the second opinion Dr told I needed to fuse my back. I went back to Dr Robles and told him what I had learned. He told me I didn’t need my back fused. I let Dr Robles operated on me for a symptom called drop foot. He was very good and knowledgeable. My back or leg hasn’t bothered me since. I would recommend Dr Robles to anyone or to anyone who wants to come for a medical vacation

May of 2019, while on vacation in Puerto Vallarta, I suffered a life-threatening bleed in my head. Being far away from our home and family, my partner and I were scared and worried. It’s hard enough going to the hospital in your own city. Going to one in another country is even more terrifying. Thankfully, we were directed to CMQ. There, Dr. Robles and the amazing staff put our worries and fears at ease. They worked quickly to get me the emergent surgery I needed in order to survive and did an excellent job of keeping my partner up to date on my status after surgery. I recovered in the hospital for a few days while my head healed and while we made arrangements to fly home. Dr. Robles & everyone involved in my care was kind, comforting, and did everything they could to make us feel safe, cared for, and at home. They also helped make arrangements for my partner to sleep nearby while we waited on the ambulance to come and get us and take us to the airport. I am beyond grateful for the care I received at CMQ and the incredible work of Dr. Robles and his amazing team. Thanks to them I was able to make it home safely and begin to get back on my feet again. I can’t thank him enough for all of his diligent and exceptional work. Dr. Robles is an excellent surgeon and ensures the best for his patients.
