Fantastic private spot less than two minutes walk from the beach. Really nicely landscape gardens with lots of little cute and welcoming features. Fully stocked outdoor kitchen and place for boards to be kept. Feels very safe, and private while also being laid-back and lush. Maura, the owner, is super knowledgeable about the region, and generous with her time and advice. Highly recommend staying here for a holiday or long term.

We loved our stay at La Casita Playa La Saladita! The casita is adorably decorated and well-equipped for a comfortable stay, and it is conveniently located (walking distance to the beach, fun surf, and delicious local restaurants.) On top of that, Maura is a fantastic host who is so friendly, accommodating for any of your travel needs, and full of expert knowledge of the area. She really goes above and beyond! We enjoyed every minute, and we hope to stay here again in the future. Definitely recommend staying at La Casita with Maura to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun surf trip!

This place is an oasis just steps from the beach! The owner/host Maura has done an amazing job cultivating a tropical shaded environment that provides tons of privacy throughout the property as well as shade during the hot hours of the day! If you’re missing your furry friends when you travel like I do there are plenty to keep you company (my favorites are Mango (Poopsicle Dirtman III), Cookie Boy and Sissy!). The kitchen was probably the best stocked in all the places I’ve stayed in Mexico which is awesome for those of us that like some home cooked meals. The water pressure is also unlike any other, even at home in the states!! Maura has tons of fantastic recommendations for places in the surrounding area to eat, travel, surf, explore and since she lives there full time she is very connected to the local community. There’s tons of board storage if you bring your own and plenty of places to rent from on the beach. You can’t see the break from the casita but it’s probably breaking all day anyways so it’s nice to have an excuse to use your legs a bit to get there. Maura helped us arrange a car while we were there for 2 weeks and it was better suited for surf travel than any of the options at the airport. I would stay here again long term any time! Saladita and the surrounding area has my heart and so much of that is because of Maura’s hospitality.
