Our experience with Good Vibes was just perfect! Not only is it one of the cheaper options in Playa del Carmen but, as the name mentions, there are good vibes everywhere. People are open and chatty and we have had a great time just there at the centre as well. Our instructor Omar is top notch! He made us feel comfortable and took it slow trying to learn us all the tips and tricks of diving. Once in the ocean we were amazed by all the life and being so close to schools of fish and the lively coral reef. It was truly an amazing experience! A small but great touch were the complementary ice cold beers after each day of diving. Such a nice gesture!
Amazing crew! Very real, very professional, very fun! Each of them are individual and different, yet have something that makes them bond into a "family" and accept an infinite stream of new family members :) I haven't been diving in Playa for last 7 years or so, thus had a fair share of scepticism of whether the reef isn't in too bad of a shape due to bleaching or onslaught of algae. I'm in no way an expert, but I was pleasantly surprised, if not by pristine reef itself, then by amount of life in it and around. Schools of fish are abundant!! Can't name names, but they're colorful and beautiful :) Bull sharks are there, turtle or big barracuda pops up here and there. Tiny teeny colorful snails are joy for the eyes. All of that, diving with people who share that genuine joy of being an underwater explorer. Sheer pleasure!

This place was absolutely incredible. My friend and I had been looking for somewhere to get diving certified for a while, but a lot of the places were way more expensive. We had Luca as an instructor, he was incredible and so cautious of our safety and overall happiness. I’m definitely coming back to dive with this crew! Great staff, great place and insane experience:)
At first I thought it was weird that a place has 100 reviews with 5 stars, but make no mistake - that is really the case here! The name speaks for itself, this is really a good vibes atmosphere and environment. I did my open and advanced there back to back. 3 days each. My instructor, Nahuel was nothing less than perfect. Spent time after the dives to work on the theory with me, gave positive feedback and encouraged me to perfect my skills. That being said, any and I mean any other instructor I talked to spent time to answer any question that I have, always asked if I need something and how was the dives, again all with such great vibes. I would love to dive with each and every one of them. During my dives I saw bull sharks, turtles, sting rays, barracuda, Goliath fish, lobster, and many many more. I love taking the course here because I could really enjoy the dives while training. My only regret is that I did not plan to spend more time there. I can’t say for other dive schools because I didn’t try any, but my experience was nothing less than perfect. If you think about take a course or just a dive, that’s the place for you .
I spent a full month kite surfing and cenote diving with the GVD team and had the best time of my life. Every person on the crew has this amazing mix of tremendous fun and being super professional. Sol took me for several days of kite surfing to different locations, depending on the wind and rented me brand new, high quality equipment. Even though I was "only" renting, she helped me a lot with advises and always kept an eye on me which made me feel more secure. I had a chance to dive with the whole crew and I felt like we are best friends from the first moment - friends that know a ton about cave diving! :) The schedule was flexible, always accommodating to my needs, never had any issues with the equipment and the prices are more than reasonable. After a kite/dive session you can hang out in their open-air bar and talk with like-minded people about the big questions of aquatic life. Totally recommended and can't wait to go back!
I can't recommend these guys enough. Lovely guys, professional service, quality of equipment and a great price for 2 dives, bullshark dive and reef where we spotted another 2 bullsharks! Thank you so much Julen, Giacomo and the rest of the wonderful team, including blackie the dog who made my birthday present to myself a phenomenal one. Maybe I'll squeeze 1 more in before I leave.
