Nekhtar was beyond freshness, the most affordable all day breakfast in the area with great vibe, music and location seats in the middle of the jungle. I’m sad this guys had to close doors permanently #comeback

Slick little cafe with fast attentive service. The chilaquiles has great great flavour but could have used more onion and cilantro, not going to dock a star because it’s personal preference. The coconut cold brew was really tasty but a bit on the small size. The cardamom rose latte had a great aroma but the flavour was a little flat. My wife liked the avocado on toast. The meal was filling and satisfying!

Healthy delicious breakfast choices in the beach zone of Tulum across from Alaya Hotel. Service is great and high quality food. Mango Nice Dream Bowls was my favorite. They have lots of choices and big portions. My go to for breakfast during my week in Tulum.

Nekhtar is truly a gem in Tulum! It's not too difficult to find off the main road by the Zona Hotelera, and if you're staying anywhere along that path, you can either walk or take a cab to where you are going. The space is tiny inside, just enough room for them to whip up what they are making. m There are plenty of seats outside with beautiful surroundings to help you feel in tune with nature around you, as you should in Tulum! They have a delicious selection of coffees, juices, smoothes, acai bowls, and ice cream bowls, perfect to cool off! I'm sure you can even ask her to surprise you with a custom made fruit bowl (like my pineapple bowl!). The prices are great for the quality of food you're getting!! This cafe has a big heart, and they are a small business that likes to support their local community. They also try to recycle as much of the fruits there, hence the pineapple bowl for use! Really do recommend you give them a visit, I could of had their coffee every day to this day! We enjoyed the acai bowl with peanut butter, a ice cream bowl in the pineapple, and the lavender sea nice cream bowl: frozen blueberries, lavender home-made essence, agave syrup, vanilla, coconut milk, and superfood toppings. For lattes we enjoyed the Lavender latte and the Cardamom Rose latte, both so delicious!!!!

Love the vibe and setup of the cafe. They have an English menu. I ordered the turmeric latter, espresso and scrambled eggs. Food was fine, the bread they served is really sweet. I’m used to sourdough. I think this is a matter of preference. The eggs were a bit over cooked but nice and they gave me some extra chilli sauce which really brought the flavours together. The latte was only okay I expected it to have more punch and to be creamer with the coconut milk (In my opinion the turmeric lattes at The real Coconut are better but also 60 pesos more expensive). Coffee was 10/10. The downside when they told me the price (didn’t even provide me with a paper bill) and it came to more then the food cost I was a bit puzzled. When I questioned they acted uncomfortable about it and said the service is added on. This to me is a big NO tips shouldn’t be mandatory especially at cafes. I paid the service charge but it’s left me with a sour taste. For me it comes down to a matter of principal give people the option to tip. Sometimes I get the feeling the locals try to get as much money out of you and this experience made me feel like that.
