Nice museum in downtown La Paz. They offer tours (in English... sometimes) but all the signage is Spanish so plan accordingly.

They've put in a fantastic amount of work to have educational displays covering the evolution of whales and other marine life. The guides (available in various languages) are friendly and very helpful. Great place to visit.

This is an outstanding museum with excellent displays of marine mammals, sharks, and turtles. The bull sea lion skeleton literally had me spellbound. Fernando gave us a very informative, hour-long tour in excellent English. IMHO better than five stars. Even if you've been cruising the Sea of Cortez for years, you'll come away with a new appreciation of its diversity and need for more conservation. Don't miss this while you are in La Paz.

This place was great! The only sad thing is it closed down. There was not enough tourism going there to keep the place open. :(

Get the guided tour... very informative. Small museum but packed with skeletons and great exhibits.

Excellent place to learn about the different sea life in Baja California. Our guide Omar Gonzalez had so much passion what a fun and excellent place . Worth the visit.

La Paz, Puerto de Ilusión.... Just when you thought this mega rancho was evolving from a persnickety into an apodictic State capital, arguably the only local place with real educational value, a solid attraction with an all-round positive impression and impact, shuts down. In prior years this prime piece of real estate was a Carlos'n Charlie's and no doubt, considering the rent hike the museum is unable to pay, the next tenant will be a party-loving beer belly embassy and cacophonic pachanguera. Ni modo.

Impressive display of marine life. Carmen was very helpful and knowledgeable. Her English was way better than my kids Spanish. Highly recommended to learn and help support the sciences.
