An impressive open arena especially made for bull fighting. Even though I do not believe in hurting or killing animals for entertainment, you have to respect their custom. I would say that the style here is not as flashy as the style in Spain but is still impressive. A guy alone against a mad bull fighting for his life. I watched it once and that is enough for a lifetime.

What can be said of a landmark a true experience and a treasure of a bullfight temple. Plaza México is to become the last classic still standing since money is about to destroy, sadly, its older brother, Sport's City Stadium, next to bullring. And it will be a pity. A sole piece of concrete becomes not only the largest bullring but also the most comfortable one in the world. Is amazing how many details you can find and I've been seated from the last line of upper deck to the very front line of the ring. It's marvelous acoustic allows you to hear all aspects of bullfight which makes a Sunday afternoon a marvelous experience. Within the entrance there are plenty pieces of art and in its walls with every plaque makes Plaza Mexico a bullfight museum. Try the birria (spicy goat soup) and each of the taco multi offer which is another tour by itself before each bullfight. Simply one of my favorite and most beloved places in the world.

Great place to visit while in Mexico, big part of the culture. Show starts at 4pm twice a week (Sunday and Tuesday I believe). Tickets were about 200 pesos in the shade, highly recommended picking a cushion from inside for about 15 pesos.

Spanish colonial style bull fighting arena with all the costumes and ambience! Bad part is that its a fight till death match and has a sad end. Not for the weak hearted! Its an old tradition and families and friends enjoy this event on sundays! Fights are twice a week - wednesday and sunday at 4pm. Approximately 200 pesos. Its worth it as its a once in a lifetime experience. Only other place you can see live bull fights till death is Spain!

Largest bullfighting Arena in the world is old, outdated, unsafe (hygiene standards of toilets, restaurants, cafes), benches and Infrastructure need to be improved as to proudly present this tradition into world-class standards. Time stopped in the 1970s for this arena. The bullfight was very good, so no problem with that. But little improvements in the premises will lead to greater experiences to all.
