JC One Liner Review: Just do it! Don't worry about the cost, the experience is worth every dollar. Hidden beach tour was about 2.5 hours long. It included visiting Marietas Islands, swimming through the actual hidden beach, boating around the island, seeing wild life and exotic birds, walking the island from the other side, and some snorkeling on the way back. You have to wear a helmet and a life jacket when swimming through the hidden beach. The guide will bring you when the tide is not rough and low. I cannot swim, I am actually afraid of water but I had an awesome guide who showed me safe ways all along. And the life jacket helped. In the end, I am glad I did this tour. Tips: Bring your own life jacket if you can and must. The tour company will provide life jackets but it might be pretty old.

While the beach itself is natural, the sinkhole under which the beach lies is reportedly man-made. The Marietas Islands were originally formed many thousands of years ago by volcanic activity. Being completely uninhabited, the Mexican government started using the islands as target practice prior to the First World War

Don't go if you get seasick easily. You will be miserable. Don't go if it's windy as the water will be murky and you won't see many fish. Don't go in the winter season as the water is quite cold and you won't be able to stay in there for more than 5 minutes

We had fun but was not able to go to hidden beach on the Adventure Tour as we had expected. This fact was not made clear to us until boarding the boat. The island is not anything worth the long boat ride. Snorkeling was not great, a few fish and lots of harmless jellies. Paddle boarding and kayaking were offered. There was plenty of time to enjoy the activities once onsite.
