I rented a 2 story house for 10 people for a 3 day weekend. The neighbors are mainly retired older people and by 9pm on Saturday we were asked to be quiet and go inside. Sunday barbeque around noon and was approached again this time by a neighbor not security if we were going to continue to party. Note we had no music just having drinks on the balcony didn't think we were loud. But anyways nice place to relax with your couple but I don't recommend in a big group getaway.
Excellent place for a short vacation just 1 hour drive south of San Diego. Most of the houses close to the shore have ocean view. We rented a 4 bedroom house in the second row. The house was clean. It had a rustic Mexican decor which we really liked. It's a gated community. So we felt very secure. They have a small beach. The beach becomes rocky as you start entering the water. Also it has lots of sea werd. We wished they had a better beach. One thing you should definitely try is the seafood tacos served by the make shift stall by the swimming pool. Those were one of the best tacos we ever had!!
I have stayed here a couple times now and it is absolutely a gorgeous get away, perfect for when you just want to just hide away from the stresses of life. It's comforting to know that it's a safe gated community, super easy to find right off the toll road. 100% will be coming back.

Las Gaviotas is a slice o' heaven! It is an established private community located about 12 minutes south of Rosarito, and about 5 minutes north of the famous Puerto Nuevo, Lobster village. Las Gaviotas has it's own private beach which looks out to a renown surf break. The community has a olympic size pool, spa, shuffle board, tennis courts, and the beloved malecón that stretches from one end of the community to the other. A magical feature of Las Gaviotas is the south facing orientation and the cove like location. This affords Las Gaviotas with it's own micro climate, it could be cloudy and rainy in either direction and Las Gaviotas will be covered in sunshine and beauty!
