The food was good and none of the scorpions bit me. The rooster got me up early so I could make the most of my day. The electric was great when it was on. I was never once bitten by any of the roaming dogs. I can't wait to get back

Beautiful
Best place in town. Well. The only place in town. Right on the water where the good surf break is.
I've been going to La Ticla since YES 1979 and until recently it's been one of my favorite places to go surfing with a good vibe. But, I have to admit I really enjoy the locals and the semi-locals coming to their beloved surf destination from guadalajara and other cities to take their weekends and enjoy the beach and surfing. I see several of them every year I go there and it reminds me of surfing years ago, camping, partying and enjoying life. The negative is that many foreigners have chosen to live in La Ticla's cheap camping areas on a semi permanent basis and have ruined the surf break and the feel of the place. Last year I saw over 40 people in the surf and they seem to just be there to exist, smoke dope, drink and be for lack of other words be Hippies. While it's nice to see working Mexicans enjoy their beach break on their holidays and weekdays the Hippies have ruined the once isolated surf break of La Ticla. Yeah, I'm getting older and probably intolerant, but it's just not the same. Adios La Ticla I'm going elsewhere in search of my endless summer.
You have to see when the river and ocean meet... incredible
