We first started developing Kottos because the gated community where my business partner lived was had a break-in. Thieves are usually able to trick security guards into allowing them into the communities. This isn't necessarily the guard's fault. In most cases guards can't see anything suspicious with the naked eye. They just don't have enough information at hand. Simply put: gated communities provide a false sense of security because they are isolated. Our product keeps gated communities and checkpoints safe. We've set up a small device that houses our software and integrates: - Visitor registration with high-res photographs (ID, face and vehicle) - License plate recognition - License plate background check . (on Kottos community) - Visitor logs - Reports - Automation control for gates, barriers, lights and other checkpoint related mechanisms Our product provides information to help security guards make the right decision.
