This review is long over due. Don't question it, just do it & book it. Amazing stay ! The hotel is designed so that all rooms face the ocean, which is insanely amazing! It is all inclusive food and drinks, and being Mexican I can say some big hotels water down their food, Riu did no such thing. Everything was delicious and scrumptious . Do yourself a favor - if you're in Mexico stick to tropical drinks, Mexican beer, and tequila or mezcal. They have a pretty good selection and always make sure you're taken care of. Check out their Spa. It is a zen zone for sure! Totally worth it. Staff is kind and friendly, ask them for recs and where they eat on their time off. Gave us pretty good recs.

Its a high quality hotel. That is wonderfully made maintained and managed. However the only ATM only gives pesos which means you lose money trying to withdraw money and that's not even including the 10 surcharge. And some of the restaurants weren't as good as I would have expected

I had a amazing time!! Gerardo, my server by the Pool, did such an amazing time making sure I was taken care of. Especially considering I was traveling alone. Bruno always greeted me in the morning with a friendly smile. The resort had great service and I looked forward to breakfast everyday!! It was delicious. I wish I would have known kayaks were apart of the all inclusive I would have used them everyday! I will be back soon!!

We had a great experience with family and friends. Staff went out of there way to make us feel special. Nice tips go a long way in making it all worth while.

The hospitality is top notch. Beautiful old hotel feeling with a modern twist . The rooms with the extended balcony are incredible !!! The beach is beautifully kept and the pools are gorgeous.

Its an older resort that could use some upgrades to the rooms. The bathtubs are old and holes are patched, don't plan on taking a bath. We upgraded to a suite, it was better but the back door was arm breaking to close. The food was basically all buffet style, rather they served it or not. I was dying for a meal that was still hot. Even the coffee was cold. I gave it a 3 because the staff was amazing, they really catered to your every need. Take the staff out and it would drop the score to a 1.5. Serve hot food that's fresh and you will get a 4.

Excellent food and service at all restaurants.I stayed in a standard Junior suite with partial oceanview. It wasn't like it was an obstructed view.I would stay in partial oceanview again. You can hear the waves crashing at night.and it is still a nice view.

I live in Nuevo and had some friends come visit. They stayed at Hotel Riu Palace Pacifico. I wanted to go visit them - the hotel would not let me visit without a day pass. A 50 USD day pass. Which they required my ID in exchange for the day pass. I had to leave in a hurry after only being there for 1 1/2 hours. I totally forgot about my ID. I needed it today (a week and 1/2 later) and just remembered that I had left it at the front desk. I called to see if I could come get it. I was basically victim shamed because I did not have them cut my wrist band off before I left - by 2 different people. The first woman told me that my ID is not in the safe or at the front desk. I asked for her supervisor. Some guy got on and said “let me explain the process...” To which I informed him that I didn’t need the process, I needed my ID. He told me they no longer have it. He said they destroy ID’s after 24 hours. They didn’t call me, they didn’t contact my friends who were on the property another 4 days. They “destroyed” it. On top of this, the food sucks and drinks are terrible!!! There are much better properties to stay at in Nuevo. Don’t stay at a place with horrible food where they will steal your ID.
