Not good. My past reviews were "awesome place". See my newer review....The culture for some reason changed. The little things we all consider the difference between choices are gone from this place. But the views are great

I am sad, today we left the beautiful resort Hacienda Del Mar. The room was beautiful and the bed comfortable. The housekeeping staff always ensured we had a cleaned room everyday. We had an amazing trip, the staff was always so friendly and Tomatoes Restaurant for breakfast was just what we needed today. Thank you for the amazing stay.

If you want a brand new, 5-star hotel, look elsewhere. However, if you want value, location, and luxury at a more fair price, look no further. I had a wonderful time, and wish I could have stayed longer. Like many things, it's all about perspective.

My mom stayed at this hotel last week. She requested a ocean front room and they gave her an ocean view, in the very back of the hotel you could barely see the ocean. She moved 4x because they kept telling her the room she was in was booked for someone else the next day. It was horrible. We ate dinner at their restaurant. The food was good. However, I could smell the sewer over the balcony. It was disgusting. Last, the Uber drivers are not allowed on the property. The Uber system is about 3x less than a cab. They want you to walk to the gate to get your Uber and won't take you in the golf cart because they don't want you to use Uber. It was very difficult to get in the gate. We got the run around every time. The property is pretty. And the food was good, so I give it a 3.

Swapped my RCI into this place and the grounds are impeccable and beautiful! Small kitchen in my 1 bedroom suite 1811 and is really old and not workable. No dishwasher, counter space is like 2 feet. Small frigerator, nothing like their sister property Solaz. Bedroom and bathroom however are excellent even with the outdated dim lighting that us reminiscent some motels in Mexico. Awesome bed however. Not exactly the way to win over someone who would be considering purchasing or put the foot forward. The sales person last time showed me a modern unit facing ocean... feels like switch and bait.

Excellent vacation here! Booked through orbits as a beach facing room, but it wasn't in their system as such. The front desk guy upgraded us on the spot. Pros: - Friendly staff - Many restaurants on the premises and even a grocery store - Amazing views from the room and beaches - Water pressure here is phenomenal - Kitchenettes are fully stocked with everything but food - All hotel staff wear masks Cons: - Uber can't come in to pick you up a lot of the time - Paper thin walls and you can literally hear your next door neighbor set a spoon on their own kitchenette counter - Concierge guy immediately hits you up to go watch a presentation on timeshares - Fridge doesn't work - Even at a low % capacity we still had both sides of us occupied
