Great selection of music instruments and gadgets. The personnel have great deal of knowledge of the products and make thoughtful recommendations without pushing the for the more expensive just for selling or making a greater profit, but taking client's needs first.

Great place for your musical needs. Parking seems impossible but they actually have their own parking space with 20 spots available behind the store. The store is divided into two locales, one with all things related to percussion and the other with guitars, pianos, recording and production equipment, etc. Only thing worth mentioning is you might be able to find things cheaper elsewhere but you'd have to know where to look and it probably wouldn't be as convenient as just going to Gama.

Gama Music is quite simply one of the best music stores in Monterrey. I have shopped in Gama for years. The store is actually split in two. There is drum showroom in the street corner where you can find a great selection of full kits, shell packs, cymbals, and accessories for your drums. They also sell some other percussion instruments. If you are a not a percussionist, then you need to go to the big store, which is a few steps down the street. It's the big store where they have everything else: guitars, bass, keyboards, microphones, PA gear, and accessories. For guitarists like myself, they have a great selection of guitars, amps, and effects. And they have sales fairly often, I managed to buy a Vox AC4 in a limited edition color for half the price! As much as I like Gama, I do have to point out some problems with the store. Even though they have a huge selection of stuff there, what you see is what you get. If you are looking for a specific piece of gear and you can't see it in display, then you are out of luck. They could probably special order it for you, but it won't be fast. There is also a problem with customer service. There are sometimes where getting someone to help you takes way longer than what it should. There is only like 2 staff members in a huge store, so getting ahold of them is not that easy. As a matter of fact, the day I bought the AC4, I had been playing it for almost half an hour before I could ask someone to actually buy it. I even personally witnessed how they failed to help a guy who was ready to buy an expensive guitar because they wouldn't change the (very) old strings for a new set for him. And don't even get me started on their website... Even with a few shortcomings, Gama Music is, in my opinion anyway, the best music store there is in Monterrey. And I wouldn't hesitate to go there if I needed a new instrument.

The store has a great variety of instruments and audio-related devices. Definitely a must if you're a musician or are interested in music.
