Attempts to keep up with dredging now abandoned. One large powerboat sunk at slip. Larger boats trapped or abandoned. Even at high tide only a foot or two of water. Always do proper siltation and hydrographic studies before building a marina- very sad. I sailed in here with 5 foot draft and no working engine in 2007 but that was when they still dredged.

The Marina is run down. If you have a big boat, you probably will be stuck at the throat of channel at low tides. I got stuck with even an 18 footer boat with 12” draft. I just sat there with the boat in the sand and waited for the tide change but thank god some locals came over and helped to get the boat to a bit deeper water. Learned my lesson on how to navigate that channel. The only way is to hug the rocks on the edge of the channel where the water is about 2 feet deep. It could be the COVID thing but the area is dead for now.

The beach homes for rent are amazing. The marina appears not to maintained. The beach is not crowded. Water too cold for us during spring break. Riptide is really strong.

It's a little dirty. Boats are old broken down. But it's private.

Forget about it. Most boats can't get in or out because the channel is full of sand. Large boats have been stuck there for years.
