Dr. Ivo is a great Doctor with a lot of expertise and even though he attended my 5 year old daughter and I on a Sunday he did it with a lot of patience, he answered all my questions, provided me with different alternatives and options related to my case. Dr. Ivo Ferreira has the highest level of expertise in his profession. I was experiencing a sudden blur of vision, in my left-eye, with black liquid-like visuals. As soon as I made an appointment, via online, Dr. Ivo Ferreira had texted me to make sure everything was alright. The very next day, the doctor took the time to explain the basic's of what my symptoms could be and how the comprehensive exam will help, both him and I, understand what was going on. After experiencing reduced acuity and clouding in one eye I searched for the best ophthalmologist for consultation. After considering a number of recommended doctors I chose Dr. Ivo Ferreira M.D., an outstanding physician from Uruguay, who is in Mexico City on a Research Fellowship. Dr. Ivo is young, energetic, personable, extremely intelligent, and speaks English fluently. He is a member of the Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He specializes in cataract and refractive surgery. The relationship with his patients is extraordinary, as he is the most caring and attentive ophthalmologist. He prefers not to have lines of patients waiting outside his office so that he can give as much time needed to each patient, seeking the most effective patient solutions through explanations, 3D models and instruction. After the decision was made to move forward with surgery, Dr. Ivo patiently explained the process, costs, facilities, and the surgical assistant, and anesthesiologist. The procedure went exactly as Dr. Ivo had explained, and was followed by two consultations, and additional email follow-ups after the surgery. In an unexpected surprise, the surgery also improved my distant vision to perfection. I no longer need corrective lenses and the clarity of my vision has never been better! Dr. Ivo made a potentially stressful situation calm, confident and successful. I most highly recommend this outstanding ophthalmologist in every regard, professionally and personally.
