Firstly, the answering machine for the CANADIAN CONSULATE is in SPANISH on their answering machine when it is for CANADIANS who speak ENGLISH. The phone system is long drawn information with Spanish and then English, but not from a clearly English speaking person. The office does NOT return international call!! This is ridiculous if there has been issues and the Canadian taxpayers are paying for the services of why they would not return urgent calls. There hours of operation are only 3 hours, 9:30 am until 12:30 pm, but are impossible to get a hold of! There are many Canadians that cross the border from San Diego. \Snowbirds\ need more access to help, if needed and to have a consultant only working for 3 hours and not being reachable by phone, is very poor quality care to travelers. Canadians need to demand more better service for what they also offer in way of help.
