We have been here many times, all of them being absolutely incredible. The staff are extremely funny and all of them have high spirits. The Ocean is warm and the meals are incredible. You can have any food on the planet there. The hotel rooms are beautiful and clean. They have everything, from Tennis courts to a nice massage, everything. For me, it is paradise. It is my favorite place in the whole world.

Club Med Ixtapa is an amazing spot to take your family. My wife and I just took our three kids here (ages 14, 12, and 10), and we had an outstanding and relaxing vacation. The kids had action-packed days, with tennis lessons, archery, kayaking, snorkeling, and circus school. The beach was beautiful, as was the pool and the rest of the village. The thing that makes Club Med the best, though, is the staff. Every one of the staff members was enthusiastic and friendly, from the managers to the housekeepers. We also tried some of the off-resort excursions, like the cooking class at a local family's ranch, which was a trip highlight.

The Club Med is located on a gorgeous beach, practically private to the whole resort. This Club Med is very family friendly. Our 2 yo son spend most of this days with the "Tuki Tuki team" on the beach, a little playpool and doing different activities every day of the week. We always felt safe and confident that the caretakers are there for him. The resort has been remodeled not too long ago. While some cracks are showing again, all restaurants and bathrooms are clean and modern. The whole place feels safe and secluded, with security from the gate to the beach, but you can move around freely. The evening shows can be a bit cringy, but you'll have fun at karaoke, casino night or seeing your little ones perform an act on stage, all by themselves. Don't worry too much about the "dress code". It's more a fun way to blend in when most people wear white or when it's pirate day. There is never any pressure.

Club med won't refund our trip when the Canadian Government issued a travel advisory due to COVID 19. They will only give a credit, however now they have closed the Resort til Dec 2021 and our credit still expires in 2022. Dis-honest business practices and very poor customer service. The French need to learn about what customer service means from their American competitors at Dreams. Dreams issues full refunds with only a few days notice. I will be going to Dreams in the future for our annual vacation for their superior customer service and honest business practices.

Prepaid shuttle through the resort was nowhere to be found at the airport. The rooms are dated and need replacing, they are musty and feel dirty. The family pool area is decent but the walkways are a faded, the peeling brown paint that makes you think you're walking on dirt. Update: changed from 2 to 4 because the resort is made for kids and it performed spectacularly in that area. The staff is courteous, vibrant and committed to making sure the kids are entertained. We paid to upgrade to a suite and it was nicer but not spectacular. Most meals are at the buffet which makes it easy to feed kids quickly but it does get old from an adult perspective. There is a restaurant open 2 nights a week but it was closed this week. We're likely to come back not that we know what to expect. We'll arrange for a room with a balcony because they were nicer than the standard rooms.
