Call before you bring any animals. They were kind enough to receive some cats we have found. Haven't seen the grounds but you can visit on weekends to wash or pet the animals.

Nice volunteers as is always the case at shelters. Boss was not there when I visited twice. Managed to buy litter, food and toys for cats at Petco where they adopt from. VERY expensive. Litter 25, Dry food 25 mid-bag and Fancy Feast 90c. Apparently, Mexico discourage looking after pets with prices double or triple American prices. The kittens need another couple of big cages badly!! One young cat could only sleep in his litter box as the cage was too small.

Well-run and organized animal shelter. The vet, Melina, is super friendly and takes good care if the cats and dogs at AFAD. I very much enjoyed my time volunteering here and wish the staff and animals all the best!
