Pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. We are staying at a nice "fancy" hotel/restaurant up on the hill and the food honestly doesn't come close to this place. Lalo was very kind to us and the food was great. We will definitely be returning. We had the fish/shrimp in a dill sauce - great change from traditional mexican flavors. And then we threw a curve ball and ordered the Hawaiian burger and fries. Both were well seasoned. (Each had a glass of chardonnay too.) Extraordinarily better and at a fraction of what our hotel restaurant charges.

Ate there twice...first time good. Second time, ordered margaritas on the rocks and they came out blended Do not like blended margaritas. He gave me a glass of wine in place of the mistake. My meal was just OK and husband had the tuna and salad plate and they forgot to put the salad dressing on the salad. I could see mistakes if they were busy but there was hardly anyone there when we ate. Not acceptable and the staff I think could care less. Just my opinion and I think it is warranted. Will not revisit.
Wonderful time at Chez Leo yet again. Surf & Turf, pasta w/shrimp, pasta florentine w/chicken all excellent with good portions. Music with Edgar on Friday nights a delight as well!
We ordered 5 dishes... it took close to a full hour for us to receive our food. However once we did... it made up for the long wait. The food is great, but definitely be prepared to wait a while to get food from order to the table.
Wonderfully Delicious surprise that is Chez Leo!What we found more surprising was that it was empty while other places were not We were recommended Chez Leo by a local wine lover at rivello Thursday’s wine class. Chez Leo, Our hands down Zihua favorite dinner so far. Dillled fillet fish, steak w/shrimp, perfect tender crisp veggies...Lovely! We’ll be back!!
Lalo the owner is a great restaurantor and person and his mom is a real good cook. The combination of both with a great location and price makes it one of my favorites.
I had a fantastic salad and meal here.
