This place was just spectacular. The art work was beautiful, the archeological site in the back was stunning, but the real standout was the staff. My husband was on crutches at the time of our visit and they got us a wheelchair to use, they pushed him around when it was hard for me, and when we left a security guard pushed him across the street, stopping traffic for us, to the Captain's Cove restaurant. They were just as nice and helpful as they could possibly be and it make a great experience even better.

You can access this Mayan ruins after you pass through the Museo Maya de Cancun—both are included in the entry fee, and both are worth it if you’re interested in this sort of thing (like me). This Mayan archaeological site is interesting intrinsically as well as for the fact that it was one of the last places inhabited by the Mayans before the arrival of the Spaniards. On the day we visited, there was hardly anybody else here, so chances are that you will have a very peaceful visit, should you decide to come. You can see the Museum and the grounds in about an hour.

***Next to your Resort, Why not visit?*** This Archeological site is literally next to several resorts. It is at a walking distance for some and a short 1 bus ride for most. Don't expect enormous pyramids or several buildings. It has very well shaded walking trails and air conditioned exhibitions. To visit this Archeological site you must enter through the Museo Maya de Cancun. The ruins are literally in the main Kukulkan Boulevard, however are cover by vegetation, and you must enter the Museum to enjoy them.

This place was walking distance from our resort. Very historical with lots of artifacts from different period times. These items are very protected as well as the habitat and animals located within the museum. This is sort of like a Mexican Getty Center. Guards are not shy to kick you or your kids out. Visit the Gift Shop for little souvenirs. Spend here around 2-3hrs away from pools and sandy beaches. Nothing is allowed inside, not even water but you are provided locker to lock your stuff. Pictures are allowed
