Went diving on the Southern Sport live aboard boat to Socorro. This was a fantastic trip for the price! All the crew (captain, skiff drivers, dive masters, service staff) worked very diligently and had great communication throughout the whole trip. They came up with a plan for the dive sites for us to get the most out of the diving possible. The boat was older, but is still very comfortable.

The diving tour was awesome. Cantamar is a big hotel and diving club compared to the other local diving shops. So we took a fairly large boat even for a handful of guests on board. The experience was awesome and the price was reasonable.

The whale shark tour was great. We had a very helpful guide (from dany tours), who assisted us when snorkeling with these huge animals. We also got the right advise to do the tour one day earlier, because wheather changed next day. It was a wonderful experience.

Had a great tour to snorkel with 3 whale sharks and were really lucky to be surrounded by a large school of dolphins and swim with them on the return trip. Guide Rodrigo and Captain Luis did an excellent job. It was also very reasonable. Thanks

Cantamar is not only the most overpriced tour and scuba agency in La Paz, but also has the rudest people. The salesman at the office in Malecon, a burly guy with a beard, is the rudest man I've met in Mexico. He will not only take personal offense if you try to ask for any discount, but mock and menace you in addition to denying any discounts. Pretty much anything they offer at their office, you can easily book for cheaper on the pier or by asking any other agency to make some phone calls, especially for diving. Avoid Cantamar if you can.

Had us waiting all day since 9:40am with promises to get out on the boat and then didn't even get us on by 2pm when they finally said they would finally be ready. Shady operation. Would give zero stars if possible.
