We were called in by Fernando to the shop and while chatting, the topic of excursions was brought up. We said we were interested in Xichen Itza and Fernando showed literature and details for the xcaret classic tour (large charter with a/c, on board restroom, lunch at Vallodolid, and the ancient city itself). We decided to purchase through him and were told to expect a shuttle at our resort in the morning to take us to our trip. When the day came, a small minibus with 2 people in it(seat 10) came to pick us up and then stopped at a few more resorts. After all were in, the one of the 2 original people did not have a seat and was on a cooler by the door with no seat or restraints. He then told us he was the tour guide and the minibus would take us on the excursion instead. No leg room, faltering a/c, no restroom, not enough seats. We were then given an itinerary that did not match what we were sold on by Fernando. It felt unsafe and that we no longer knew what our payment covered as we were deceived from the start. We do not recommend using Atempa's Tour Operator in Plaza Caracol. Do not trust their packages or sales pitches.

I booked a taxi with u last night for pick up at 530am. The taxi driver said he will be late for 10 mins and then said he’s stopped by police and never showed up! And they took my deposit!
