BEAUTIFUL! We saw turtles and rays! So fun. If you get motion sickness easily, take some dramamine prior heading out, it can be a little rough out there. Not super fun to feed the fishes that way...

Family and I had a great time! Emmanuel was our guide and was able to help us spot a turtle within minutes of getting in the water. Only reason why I didnt give a 5 star is because the current there was pretty strong and they had no fins available to use. I understand the current is uncontrollable, but having fins available would have been alot nicer. Would highly recommend for turtle, stingray viewing, but bring ur own fins.

Always beautiful. Great food at Lol Ha and at La cueva el pescador. The Akumal dive shop is great - a great team. All are open now.
You may get overwhelmed with guides as you walk up as the regulations to view the turtle's has changed since 2017, Akumal bay regulation includes: Swimming and sighting of sea turtles is only permitted from 9am to 5 pm. Tourists should use exclusively the routes and timetable established by CONANP***. It will be carried out in groups of up to 6 people plus a guide authorized by CONANP. Tell them you already setup a guide and ask for Alexis or Jessica from Nautilus Tours. The cost is much less and they are very helpful in getting you into the water and viewing much of the sea life available in the bay.
