I did not come here via boat, but walked here from Hotel Cozumel down the street. It was a fantastic way to see the downtown area, and what a view it was from the dock! It was a perfect way to watch the sunset and relax after a long day in the sun. Be sure to walk and shop around during your stay. The locals downtown were kind and we had a blast.

I mean - don't get me wrong, Cozumel is amazing and I wouldn't miss it for the world, but honestly it's a terribly annoying experience to get here and back. Since the pandemic there's only one ferry company each day, so don't buy a roundtrip ticket if you're planning to spend the night. The timetable is very widely spaced and insufficient (seriously no ferry back to PDC between 12:30 and 17:00???), There's a huge line, no proper social distancing in the boat people just sit where they want, you have to be here like an hour before time to make sure you can board otherwise they just make you wait for the next ferry (another 2hours!). Once you get on it, starting at around 30 mins before takeoff, if you choose to sit outside and minimize your chances of contagion you'll be breathing engine fumes and sweating your heart out in the sun, and the ferry won't leave on time off course). If you want to keep people safe - add more ferries, don't overload the few still running.

Lines are loooong.... but the trip is fairly quick. Boats are clean and well kept. The music was a fun touch, helped to pass the time. Not sure that the schedule is quite accurate. The 6pm seemed to arrive at 6 rather than depart at that time.

Extremely busy place. Priority seems to be given to people waiting to board the vessel as people leaving the ferry are stuck pulling luggage around what appears to be a never ending line of people waiting to enter the line for the waiting ferry. The road is currently under construction, and it is sandy and pitted making the trek that much more challenging coupled with the absence of anyone controlling the line and people willing to move out of the way.

Ferry is very shaky and extremely able to get sea sick. But the island COZUMEL is amazing!
