One of the best place in my trip. Peaceful and beautiful. Nice beach and facilities and the sunset amazing.

The staff was not friendly at all. They were not accepting day pass and didn’t say anything about the restaurant, a friend recommended me this place for the day pass. Maybe just trying to explain would’ve been nice. They gave no reason and not even said hi or welcome us.

I booked Maraica Eco Hotel to lead a 7 day yoga retreat over New Year's, and I was really impressed by the hospitality, management, food, and venue. I really felt the welcome, care, and good energy from the whole staff. A big thank you goes to Miguel and Vera in the kitchen for their extra effort whenever I needed something. The owner Fernanda was truly incredible to work with. Putting on a retreat is very detail-oriented with many logistics involved. She was so organized, efficient, reliable, communicative, and supportive from start to end. In my 8 years of leading retreats, this truly stands out. I loved my room-- spacious, outstanding ocean view, and with a Zen-Mexican feel to it. The menu that was prepared for my retreat accommodated vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dietary needs. It's gourmet, so this takes time... and it's worth every delicious bite. Some of our favorites were: avocado toast with homemade bread and poached eggs for breakfast, ceviche for lunch, lentil cake for dinner, and signature guacamole for anytime! Our yoga and meditation classes were held on the terrace overlooking the ocean. The sunset views were stunning and the uncrowded beach was a short 2 minute walk away, right where baby turtles are released into the water every night. The guests loved the massages and surf lessons booked by the hotel. The venue is about a 10 minute walk into San Pancho town, and I consider this especially ideal for yoga retreat. It's easy to get to the Tuesday farmer's market, or a visit to Paraiso Cafe for a latte, but far enough away to feel that you are away from 'busyness' or distractions. With deep gratitude, Hanuman Yoga Retreat

The hotel was cute, 10 minute walk from town and a swimable beach. The beds were awful. Thin and incredibly hard. Recently recovering from a surgery we were excited to get away on a relaxing vacation. We didn’t get any sleep with the uncomfortable beds and how the rooms were not sound protected what so ever. We confronted the staff about our bed wondering if there was another option. They informed us all beds were the same and they were willing to refund us the rest of our stay if we wanted to relocate. Very nice of them to offer so we took them up on the offer so we could comfortably enjoy our stay. When we noticed our refund on our statement they had only refunded us 2 out of the 5 nights. 2 of which we stayed. So they decided to keep an extra nights stay without telling us. After addressing them with what we thought was a refund mistake on their end, they said they decided to only refund us 2 nights and wouldn’t do anything about it. This is completely unacceptable, and you should have been honest up front about what you were willing to refund. Don’t be fooled by their instagram aesthetic. The rooms were very basic, uncomfortable, the toilet had a constant leak and there was poo falling from the ceiling directly on our beds. I love the idea of an echo lodge, but if I’m paying a premium price I have higher expectations.

If it's warm say goodbye to a good night sleep. It's promoted as a eco friendly hotel boutique but: - It's hot as hell in the rooms. If only there was a moquito net. An A/C should be set up. Haven't slept for more than 2 hours in a row for the last 3 nights. - It's can be very noisy with other guest as the wall are not actual walls and have opening on top - Buy some WiFi extension please! Overall you get the comfort of a 500MXN cabaña. This place doesn't worth the 2200 MXN / night I paid for. Never coming back. Really felt ripped off. Not ideal for a wedding anniversary trip. On a brighter note the staff is friendly and helpful.

We loved the restaurant at Hotel Maraica! We ate there almost every day while we were in San Pancho! The food was excellent and the service was even better! Our server was the best! Highly recommended!

Wonderful place! Great food, beautiful views. It's small, remote, with incredible rooms and views. We had a stunning room with a view of the sunset every night. The gardens are lovely and well maintained. There is a nice small pool with bar service and views of the ocean. They are very ecologically minded and organic linens and products. They are collecting water for gardens. They don't use plastic or much paper. Love the concept.
