Casa Vela is quite a piece of art!! The woodwork is absolutely beautiful and the privacy made our vacation even more relaxing. It was nice to stay in a hotel that is not the traditional tourist resort. The bedrooms are spacious and high end. The kitchen has high end appliances you would find in a professional chef's home. The chef makes delicious food and was very accommodating for my vegetarian friend's meal preferences. The owner helped us arrange multiple excursions such as: snorkeling, cenote swimming and cave swimming. The pool and ping pong table are fun activities to do later in the day. The housekeepers kept our rooms spotless daily! I highly recommend Casa Vela!

I'm the owner and currently enjoying a fantastic month here. The person who posted (above) has never stayed here and must be reporting about another place as we're not a holiday apartment - we're a 5000 sq foot, four bedroom home with gourmet chef, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards.
We had a wonderful week at Casa Vela. The house is right on the beach, with a lovely outdoor great room overlooking the sea. Fab sunsets! The bedrooms are luxurious, with top of the line everything. We had our meals prepared by their chef. We invited our friends, and the chef prepared a wonderful dinner for 12 of local lobster bought off the boat in Puerto Moreles, and other fresh local food. It was a very relaxing week. We hope to go again...
We have had the pleasure of staying at Casa Vela several times over the last 3 of years. My husband and I work all the time and needed a quiet retreat. It was such a wonderful week for us not having to worry about anything! The chef is fabulous. We 've since taken our family (kids and grandkids 2016) and friends last February. \Best vacation memories\ on all occasions. I highly recommend a holiday at Casa Vela - so much to do nearby and the owner and staff are so accommodating!
