After spending 2 months in Merida, we can confidently say El Apapacho is our favorite in the city. The mole is amazing, and their guacamole is the best we’ve had. We tried to get them to tell us their secret to making it but couldn’t get it out of them. Oh well, guess we’ll just have to come back for it. Eat here.

The food was great, staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is excellent. Everyone was taking good precautions for COVID 19.
Wow, just wow. So fresh, not fried, great grilled veggies, vegetarian and vegan options, great handmade tortillas (not pictured), splendid service, beautiful terrace in the back, wonderful sauces. The Nopales Rellenos with cheese were the star, the green sauce is amazing. Rabbit portion wasn’t the absolute greatest but their moles are Oaxaca-level legit. A must!
This is hidden gem! I’m so glad my partner was able to find this place, they greet you and bring you a flower to the table. I ordered arrachera cordero asada (grilled lamb) and my partner ordered a 1/4 grilled rabbit, everything we tasted was super delicious the flavors of the meat and all sides were so impressive. Can’t say enough, this place is a must to visit. Their menu was changed after Covid, and the new menu looks amazing.
