Where do I begin!! From the initial conversation I had with Nydia, I knew this was definitely the route I wanted to take with my journey. Upon arrival at Monterrey(I was actually born there) Jorge(our driver) was already waiting for us, drove us to the hotel. Following morning I was picked up by Nydia to get all labs and consults done. The attention given beyond what I expected. Surgery day was Monday, Feb. 15, 2021, I had amazing nurses, Dr. Barrera came in Wednesday to check on me and was discharged. Thursday came around and flew back home. Here I am a week later, 17lbs down. I totally recommend Dr. Barrera and his entire team!!

I really enjoyed my experienced from start to finish. Nydia was a total angel handling everything for me, and she kept in touch step by step before, during and after my surgery. I traveled alone and was a bit scared but Nydia made me feel safe and comfortable. Dr. BARRERA was AWESOME! EXPLAINED everything thoroughly and just overall great. (Rest of the team as well) . I could not have asked for a better experience...Dr. Barrera and his entire team are so warm and welcoming. I am so grateful to have gone to them. They were so professional and understanding. I would recommend this team to everyone. Its only been 9 days since my surgery and I'm doing great. I would highly recommend Monterrey Gastro and Bariatric Group and their staff. I had the gastric balloon surgery done at the hospital which was clean, safe, and affordable. The Doctors and Nurses made me feel comfortable and stress-free. All of my scheduling, transportation, hotel accommodations, covid19 test and appointments was handle by Nydia the patients coordinator. Nydia did an excellent job over and beyond my expectations and made this a pleasant experience.
