Nice place to shop, very friendly people, not pushy. Tequila is actually a very good deal in the area and the booth owner allows unlimited taste testing if you cannot make up your mind. You can even grab fresh coconut water. There are also places where you can get a chair massage in the shade.

I'm surprised at how small it really was. However, there were a lot of nice tourist shops. Good bartering opportunities. The trip from the ship is mandatory since you are coming from the port over to the tourist area. There are hundreds of vehicles traveling up and down the area. Ford has a really big presence here in the manufacturing of their vehicles. Over a thousand shipping containers here as well.

Very Beautiful, actually located at a very busy port, after getting off ship, we took shuttle to shopping area, got to sample some awesome tequila and some great shopping deals

mazatlan. Big terminal. Surrounded by shipping containers. Looks like a ghetto. But good news is it's easily accessible and just 5 miles away are palm trees and white sand beaches. The interior zip lining your NOT provided by ship is the best and fun.

Mazatlan has been very underrated. It's quite nice these days!

Our cruise ship docked at the Port of Mazatlán Cruise Terminal on the Royal Princess. It is a large busy working facility and it was steadily loading and unloading various cargos. It order to reach the terminal exit you need to catch an open-air shuttle. The shuttles are free and arrive every few minutes. There are a large number of shops, bars and restaurants, pharmacies along with many vendors selling tours and offering information . Clean public restrooms are located in the terminal and are free. Taxis are available but I would suggest getting one away from the terminal as they are less expensive. If you plan on shopping I would suggest buying elsewhere. There are much better shops located in the downtown area. The downtown area of the city is a four or five dollar cab ride. Taxi fares should be negotiated beforehand.

This is not really a cruise terminal, it is a shipyard. (Minus a star) I am not sure if the city has another area to turn into a Cruise terminal or not, but I suggest they do. There is a 2 min shuttle that takes you out of the shipyard and into the terminal. Of course, as soon as you enter the terminal, bees flock on the honey!!! Hahaha you have to practice "NO, gracias" a lot! (Another star taken off) Then there is a 20-25 min walk to the old town through a decent/interesting neighborhood. City has drawn a blue line on the streets as a guide to the old city. There are cops and ex-pats (Americans living there) that direct you also. I enjoyed the walk. I like to see the structures and home styles in different countries.

Shuttle to and from ship to shopping area that was very lively. Outside the terminal is the Blue Line ( blue painted stripe and tiles laid in the street) that leads a safe path to the city and back. It leads though the safe areas but you should wander from the line. In late Feb 2020 we were able to speak with many "Blue Line" volunteers ( snowbirds from Canada) that manned the path to answer tourist questions. 20-30 minute walk to the center of the city and markets. Pulmonia (open air golf cart/cars) follow the path looking for passengers and offer tours in the narrow streets from the safety of the car. Beautiful maintained area. Lots of rehab going on and English speaking volunteers about. Surprisingly nice although I am sure the night time version may have been a little rough.
